Only One assessment instrument focused on attitudes - the Attitudes Toward Rape Victims Scale (ARVS). This 25-item self-administered instrument was designed to assess individual’s attitudes toward rape victims (rather than on attitudes concerning rape itself) in such areas such as credibility and victim blame. The ARVS does not ask practitioners about their attitudes toward victims/survivors at different points in the post-assault period. Some psychometric information is available concerning the reliability and validity of the instrument, including its use cross-culturally in the US, Singapore and Australia.
