SVRI Grant 2015: Impact of a cluster randomized controlled trial (SAFE) in reducing violence against women and girls in urban slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh

Project Summary:

 Effective interventions to curb spousal VAWG remain a challenge due to paucity of evidence on what works. To address this gap, SAFE, a cluster randomized controlled trial of an integrated multi-sectoral (health and legal) and multi-tier (individual, group and community) intervention combining group sessions, community mobilization, and services to survivors implemented over a 20 month period between March, 2012 and October 2013 was carried out.
