Assessment Instruments Used to Study Healthcare-Based Interventions for Women Who Have Experienced Sexual Violence

Introduction

This section of the SVRI site provides you with a comprehensive package of programme evaluation tools and methods for sexual violence projects and services.  By making such materials available to service providers, managers, researchers, policy makers and activists, among others, we hope that evaluation will be more easily incorporated into your project and program plans.  Rather than starting from scratch, you may draw on the tools from projects conducted throughout the world and can adapt them to the needs of your own programmes and services.  Colleagues from Ipas (www.ipas.org), the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Public Health and Research Triangle Institute collaborated to develop this section of the SVRI site.  The contents are drawn from published articles in peer-reviewed journals that report findings from evaluations of health care-based services for women victims/survivors or sexual violence.

The SVRI would like your assistance in keeping this compendium up to date.  Please send additional relevant materials and tools to svri@mrc.ac.za
