  • Immense increase in reporting of rape. IcelandReview - Reykjavik,Iceland, 22 May 2007. Last year 180 cases of rape were reported to Stígamót, the Icelandic Counseling and Information Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence, which is an increase from 65 reported cases of rape in 2005.
