• Dutch government to criminalize visiting non-licensed prostitutes. International Herald Tribune, 16 May 2008. The Dutch government announced plans Friday to criminalize visiting prostitutes who are not officially licensed. "There are still too many problems in the prostitution sector, including human trafficking," the Justice Ministry said in a statement.
  
• Report says young refugees suffer abuse after arrival in Europe. UNHCR, 18 February 2008. A study conducted in Belgium and the Netherlands has found that young female and male refugees, asylum seekers and undocumented migrants are extremely vulnerable to several types of gender-based violence.
