Job opportunity: DRC Coordinator – Program on Sexual Violence in Conflict Zones

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) coordinator will help the program director lead a dynamic team of professional staff, consultants, and volunteers to develop and carry out work to advance all aspects of the program in the DRC. The DRC coordinator will represent Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) with the government, local, and international partners in the country. S/he will take a leading role in implementation and expansion of the program in the DRC, along with PHR’s locally-based police and justice expert, in accordance with PHR program design and policy.

The DRC coordinator will be responsible for developing and managing partnerships with individual and institutional partners in the DRC in order to achieve the objectives of the program. This will include maintaining relationships with current partners, building new partnerships, and forming alliances with other civil society organizations that have similar goals. The DRC coordinator will also oversee program grant management and finance and administration for the DRC office. S/he will additionally serve as a key advocate for the program by communicating findings, research, and lessons learned in publications, social media, and conferences.
