  • Making their mark in the battle. Independent Online, 07 December 2007. Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said the kingdom's judiciary was reviewing a sentence of six months in jail and 200 lashes handed down to a gang-rape victim.
  • Saudi rape lawyer threatened. CNN International, 05 December 2007. The Saudi lawyer who represented a victim of gang rape faces a disciplinary hearing Wednesday for "insulting the Supreme Judicial Council and disobeying the rules and regulations" of the judiciary.
  • Rape victim verdict review. New Zealand Herald, 29 November 2007. A Saudi court will review the case of a young gang rape victim sentenced to jail and flogging after she was convicted of violating the country's strict sex segregation laws, the Foreign Minister was quoted as saying.
  • Nigerian drug trafficker and a Saudi policeman convicted of sexual assault beheaded. The International Herald Tribune, 17 July 2007. Saudi Arabian authorities on Tuesday, beheaded a Saudi policeman convicted of sexual assault and a Nigerian convicted of drug trafficking, the Interior Ministry said.
  • U.S. human trafficking report misses progress: Saudi. Reuters, 8 July 2007. Saudi Arabia has criticised U.S. charges that it is guilty of human trafficking, saying a U.S. State Department report was misleading and ignored Saudi efforts to stamp out the practice.
  • Man in Saudi beheaded for rape. News 24, 30 April 2007. A Mauritanian national was beheaded by the sword in the Muslim holy city of Medina on Monday after being convicted of rape and robbery, said the interior ministry.
