The SVRI is delighted to announce its call for bursaries for SVRI Forum 2019 - our 6th international conference. A limited number of full or partial bursaries are available.
This year the SVRI will support two types of bursaries to the Forum:
This Programme will support, nurture and guide Young Professionals (30 years and younger) from who have had an abstract accepted in the process of developing their presentations for the SVRI Forum 2019. For more information visit the Young Professionals Programme or apply here.
Open bursaries are aimed at broadening the participation of under-represented regions and under-represented groups particularly those representing key and vulnerable populations, young people, new and emerging researchers and students from LMICs to help them attend the conference. For more information visit the Open Bursaries web page or apply here.
The SVRI works to ensure fair access, diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Forum. Priority will be given to applicants based in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), or to applicants that have had an abstract accepted for presentation at SVRI Forum.
A small number of bursaries are available for applicants working on topical issues such as psychological/emotional abuse. For more information click here.
What is included?
A bursary may cover all or some of the following depending on the type of bursary (full or partial):

- Accommodation close to the Cape Town Convention Centre;
- Modest daily living allowance of R120 per day for the duration of the conference (22-24 October).
