For over a decade, Raising Voices has been working to prevent both violence against women (VAW) and violence against children (VAC). While they understand all violence as an abuse of power, for the most part of their VAW and VAC programming has evolved independently. In 2015, they set off to better understand the interconnections between VAW and VAC, from the perspective of Ugandan families. Today they are excited to share several pieces from this research (in partnership with Columbia University, Makerere University, and support from the SVRI) that they hope will provoke reflection and further questioning. Read their qualitative results here and their Learning Paper No. 7 here.
