  • DJ arrested after rape in Thai temple. Independent Online, 19 September 2007. A German DJ was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old Thai girl in a temple, police in the seaside resort of Pattaya said on Wednesday.
  • PEP following sexual assault in Kenya and Thailand - more awareness and follow-up necessary. Aidsmap, 23 July 2007. Not enough is being done to raise awareness of post-exposure prophylaxis as a means of preventing HIV infection after sexual assault in middle-income and resource-limited settings, despite high background levels of sexual violence and HIV infection, two studies from Kenya and Thailand reported on Monday at the 4th IAS conference in Sydney.
  • Thailand's child trafficking industry. BBC News, 7 July 2007. A report from the US state department has criticised Thailand for not doing enough to combat the illegal trafficking of women and children from Burma, Cambodia, Laos and China.
  • Court told of 600 acts as 'sex slave'. Sydney Morning Herald, 22 May 2007. A Thai "sex slave" was forced to perform more than 600 sexual acts in brothels across Melbourne before she was freed by her "owner" in 2004, a court has been told.
