Joanna Włodarczyk is a sociologist and researcher with over 13 years of experience studying child abuse and neglect in Poland. She spent more than a decade at the Empowering Children Foundation, where she established and led the research department, contributing significantly to the development of a comprehensive evidence base on child maltreatment in Poland. Her work has resulted in numerous publications on adverse childhood experiences and social issues. More recently, she has expanded her focus to Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and data analysis for NGOs, supporting organizations in leveraging data to enhance their impact and effectiveness. In addition to her research and data work, Joanna is a strong advocate for parental equality. As a council member of Fundacja SHARE THE CARE, she promotes equitable parental leave policies and partnership-based family models that support work-life balance.
