Dr Rafael Cazarin is a Brazilian-born social scientist specializing in applied research on diversity, equality, and inclusion. Over the past decade, he has served as a visiting scholar at the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa), the Universities of Oxford and Birmingham (UK), and Université Gaston Berger (Senegal). Rafael has also worked as a research consultant for international organizations across Europe, Africa, and Latin America. His work bridges academia, civil society, and government agencies, focusing on the intersection of religion and faith to prevent sexual and gender-based violence and discrimination against LGBTIQ+ people. Dr. Cazarin’s approach is informed by decolonial and intersectional perspectives, utilizing creative and community-based methods for social transformation.
