In 2015, The SVRI and the World Bank Group partnered on an open a call for proposals for innovations to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) in low and middle income countries. Through this call, The SVRI and World Bank Group Development marketplace for Innovation on Gender-Based Violence Prevention received over 300 proposals from all regions of the world.
In early 2016, the 300 (plus) proposals underwent a rigorous internal and external selection process. Grantees will be announced on the 12th April 2016 in Washington DC at an award ceremony hosted by The World Bank Group. During the ceremony, winners will discuss their work.
