Mentoring Programme

The SVRI mentoring programme provides an opportunity for young abstract submitters to receive guidance on developing their presentations for the conference, and where available, support attendance to the event. The programme is aimed at young researchers from Low and Middle-Income Countries, who lack access to opportunities of attending conferences and delivering conference presentations.  

Eligibility Criteria
The Abstract Mentoring Programme follows a competitive application process. The following criteria apply:

  • Applicants are 35 years of age or younger (born 1981 and after)
  • Applications from Low and Middle-Income Countries are invited to apply. Please visit the World Bank to see if you are eligible
  • Applicants have an abstract to submit on current research activities on sexual violence,  intimate partner violence, and / or violence in childhood that meets a SVRI Forum 2017 theme or topical issue.
  • Applicants should preferably have published in grey or peer-reviewed literature
  • Applicants have not taken part in a previous SVRI Forum Abstract Mentoring Programme
