Abstract

Faith leaders are often among the first people approached when survivors of sexual violence seek support. However, many church leaders receive little preparation to respond in ways that prioritise survivor safety, trauma-informed care, and appropriate referral. The second brief of the Faith & GBV PbK Practice Lab shares learnings from the implementation of a trauma-informed care and sexual violence response training delivered to church leaders in Lusaka, Zambia, by the the women-led NGO, A Place Called Home Ikhaya.
