SVRI is committed to advancing the field of child sexual violence (CSV) research, programming, and policy through activities across our strategic pillars and through diverse partnerships.
Over the next three years you can expect to see us working to advance priority-led, ethical knowledge building for ending CSV in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Some of the activities we intend to undertake under the CSV theme include:
- Support CSV evidence building in LMICs through research grants
- Facilitate CSV-themed knowledge exchange through online learning events and co-production of knowledge products with partners
- Curate and share up-to-date CSV research resources within SVRI channels
- Develop and host a self-paced online course on relevant CSV research theme(s)
- Co-develop guidance note related to ethics, methods, and tools for CSV research in LMICs
- Increase CSV capacity strengthening opportunities linked to SVRI Forum
- Increase CSV stakeholder participation at the SVRI Forum through targeted bursaries
- Co-facilitate a global participatory process to identify CSV research priorities
- Strengthen communications related to CSV themed work
In addition, the SVRI is a core partner organisation in the new Safe Futures Hub: a dynamic, practitioner-centred platform to build, transform and mobilise knowledge to end child sexual violence globally, implemented together with Together for Girls, and the WeProtect Global Alliance.
