Abstract
Through seed funding from the Ford Foundation, and additional the support from CDC/PEPFAR, Global Forum for Health Research and the Medical Research Council South Africa, the SVRI is supporting processes within countries to develop health sector responses to rape survivors, both immediately after rape and in the longer term, and to promote an appropriate and effective interface between the health, police and justice sectors. The project has been launched in Africa. This report provides details of the second phase of this project, the multi-disciplinary training programme for providers on the care and support of rape survivors.
