Preventing violence and enhancing mental health among clients of an invitro fertilization clinic in Jordan: results of a pre/post pilot test of the use of cognitive behavioral therapy. Reprod Health. 21(1), 117.
Abstract
Infertility increases the risk of intimate partner violence (IPV) for women. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is widely used to address mental health issues in fertility treatment seekers but hasn’t been tested for reducing IPV in this group. This pilot study explores CBT’s effectiveness in preventing IPV and improving mental health among patients at a fertility clinic in Jordan.
