Elisabet le Roux is a research and technical consultant with 17 years of experience, working on and leading projects in multiple country contexts across the world. Her expertise is in the prevention of and response to gender-based violence, harmful practices, gender equality and women’s participation, peace processes, disabilities, intersectionality, and the role of religion and culture, with an emphasis on work in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She has a proven track record in mixed methodology research, including a series of longer-term, multi-country evaluations and studies. More recently, she has been prioritising the development and use of innovative, creative, participatory and feminist research methods, and she is increasingly assisting development organisations in developing their overarching strategic approaches on gender equality and GBV.
