Exploring Legitimacy in Addressing GBV: Conversations Between Faith Actors and Policymakers

On 30 April 2025, 3:00pm SAST, the SVRI Faith & GBV Community of Practice explored the complexities of legitimacy in the context of gender-based violence (GBV) and religion in this webinar. We examined how policymakers and faith leaders engage with religion in addressing GBV, how they navigate questions of legitimacy, and how their knowledge and authority are both recognised and challenged within religious and policy frameworks. The discussion will explore success stories and ongoing challenges.
