Paula Haltmann has experience providing gender technical support to the Green Livelihoods Alliance. She engaged in the global alliance on different fronts, working for Tropenbos International and Women Engage for a Common Future International. She assisted the implementation of projects which facilitated capacity building and learning exchanges between Indigenous peoples and CSOs in South America, Africa and Southeast Asia, successfully enhancing women’s and youths’ active participation in landscape governance. She has also worked as a women’s rights researcher at the Global Human Rights Defence and is passionate about sexual and reproductive health and rights, masculinities studies and education. She combines her pursuit of gender justice with a strong interest in environmentalism and women’s land rights. Paula holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Media & Communication Studies from Monash South Africa, an Honour’s degree in Gender Studies from Monash University Malaysia, and a Master’s degree in Gender Studies from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
