Arunima is a development and communications specialist in the non profit sector with 6 years of experience in managing programs and communications for non profits with a focus on sexual reproductive health and rights, mental health, and suicide prevention with adolescents and youth. She has specialized experience in leading and implementing end-to-end projects on these issues. She uses campaigns, digital interventions, and public engagement tools to strengthen the reach of her work. Arunima’s work is strongly centered around the values of feminism, intersectionality, and being rights-based. Arunima is a seasoned workshop trainer and facilitator, and has experience organizing multiple capacity building trainings on areas of digital campaigning, sexual reproducitve health and rights, youth mental health, and youth suicide prevention. She is also trained in suicide first aid. Arunima holds a masters degree in Convergent Journalism from the AJK Mass Communication Research Center, Jamia Millia Islamia. She is also a published author with a poetry book, “Sliding Through The Spiral” which explores themes of youth mental health through lived experience.
