Dr Peige Song is a Research Professor at the School of Public Health, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, China, and Deputy Director of the Global Health Center. Her research focuses on global health and violence against women and children, with particular attention to adverse childhood experiences and their long-term health consequences across the life course. Dr Song has led multiple national and international research projects, including SVRI-funded work on adverse childhood experiences and violence among lef-behind women in China, as well as global research priority-setting initiatives on violence against women and children using the CHNRI methodology. She has published widely in leading international journals and is recognised among the world’s top 2% of scientists for career impact. In addition to her research, Dr Song serves as Vice President of the International Society of Global Health, Co-Director of the Global Health Epidemiology Reference Group, and China Editor for the Journal of Global Health. She is committed to strengthening the visibility and policy relevance of research from low- and middle-income countries, particularly in Asia, and to supporting more equitable investment in research on violence against women and children.
