Joan Njagi is a researcher with over 15 years of experience in researching, designing, implementing, and managing projects that address key issues affecting children and youth, including child sexual violence (CSV) and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Prior to joining SVRI, she worked as a consultant on SRHR research for various organizations including UNFPA, Plan International UK and CREA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and two master’s degrees: one from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University and another from the Institute of Education, University College London. Joan earned her PhD from ISS, Erasmus University. She has published peer reviewed articles on sexuality education, adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights, menstrual health management, LGBTQI rights and children and the internet.
