Noor Ur Rehman brings over fifteen years of leadership in faith-sensitive gender-based violence prevention, child protection, orphan sponsorship, humanitarian response, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Climate Change, child welfare and positive parenting programming across South Asia. He has extensive experience working with faith-based organisations, holding roles that combine direct community engagement with programme design and management. He is a graduate of, and contributor to, SVRI’s Faith and Helping Children Thrive without Violence course, and a co-author of the SVRI Dialogue Brief on nonviolent parenting and faith.

He coordinates interfaith coalitions across Islamic, Christian, Hindu, Baha’i and Buddhist traditions through the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities (JLI)’s Faith and Positive Change for Children initiative (FPCC) and the Asia Pacific Faith Based Coalition (APFC), working closely with UN agencies, faith-based organisations and networks. He is also working on Mind and Heart Dialogue Community of Practice on JLI’s evolving research on Weave. His work has taken him into complex contexts including Afghanistan and Pakistan engaging directly with religious leaders and faith actors. He has contributed to JLI research on faith and gender in immunisation, faith and climate migration, and shrinking civic space and gender backlash across the Asia region.
