On January 14th (4pm SAST), SVRI hosted the second virtual Forum Launch. Latest Forum updates were shared, highlighting emerging themes shaping the programme, while offering a space for partners, practitioners, and researchers across regions to connect as we continue the journey toward Bangkok.
On January 15th (11am SAST), SVRI and the Kering Foundation hosted a webinar to launch the SVRI Early Career Research Fellowships for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers working on the intersections between violence against women and violence against children.
The new Evidence Gap Map on school-based GBV prevention programmes, led by Stellenbosch University from South Africa, was launched on 25 November (3pm-4pm SAST), bringing together findings from over 50 studies across 50 countries, including 15 in Southern Africa.
On 20 November (4pm–5pm SAST), the SVRI Faith & GBV CoP hosted their second session in the PBK, Faith & VAWG Series. This session addressed how to find and recognise PBK, and what different methods exist for gathering PBK. Hear from Lejla Ramovic and Mūmbi Kīgūtha.
On 20 November (3pm-4pm SAST), SVRI and the Gender Violence Research and Collaboration Network (GVRCN) co-hosted an abstract writing workshop, to support early career researchers and practitioners preparing submissions for the upcoming Forum. This interactive session helps guide you through technical requirements, review criteria, and best practices.
