Data Equity Lightning Sessions

    Join We All Count and the SVRI for one hour long Lightning Sessions on Data Equity.

    During each of these Lightning Sessions will spend thirty minutes demonstrating how the topic relates to data equity and sharing examples of how to apply the ideas to research on the prevention of violence against women and children. Then we’ll spend thirty minutes answering your questions live. You can attend one or attend them all.

    • January 16, 2024: Beginner and Intermediate Level: Data Equity and Framing Questions: Clarifying what question your project needs to answer.
    • February 20, 2024: Beginner and Intermediate Level: Data Equity and Project Design: What unit of analysis should you use; how to put your research in context.
    • March 19, 2024: Beginner and Intermediate Level: Choosing a methodology: Quantitative methods for answering questions that centre equity.
    • April 16, 2024: Beginner and Intermediate Level: Data Equity and Descriptive Analysis: Choosing a denominator.
    • May 21, 2024: Intermediate and Advanced Level: Data Equity and Causal Analysis: What variables to control for; how to centre equity in your models.
