On 8 July 2026 (3pm SAST), SVRI introduced the winners of the SVRI Research Grant 2026!
In 2026, SVRI awarded ten grants to fund locally-led research on violence against women and children across ten low- and middle-income countries. The projects span topics such as violence against transgender women, gender-based violence in public spaces, trauma-informed services for survivor mothers, and gender-based violence in higher education with a focus on STEM.
During the webinar, we hosted a panel discussion moderated by Ayesha Mago, SVRI Global Advocacy Director, with former and current SVRI Grant Partners. They shared their experiences of conducting research in their own contexts, offered some lessons on how to turn evidence into policy and practice, and reflected on what it means to be an SVRI grant recipient.
