In the demanding fields of research and activism, maintaining both mental and physical wellness is essential. Work in the field, particularly in preventing, researching, or reducing violence against women, violence against children, or any form of gender-based violence, has significant impact on body and mind and can lead to stress, anxiety and disconnection. As we gather at the SVRI Forum 2024, we seek to be reminded that our wellness as social justice practitioners is paramount and crucial to our thriving as human beings.
In this webinar, we discussed the need for and barriers to self-care and our plans to prioritise care at the SVRI Forum 2024.
